What Our Staff Say

Being part of True Learning Partnership is incredibly rewarding because I feel genuinely supported in my role as a class teacher. The Trust’s vision of ‘Inspiring the Best in Everyone’ reflects my own belief in helping every child achieve their full potential. I came into teaching to make a difference for children, and I am proud to work in an environment that values, supports and empowers every individual within a strong and caring community.

Throughout my time with True Learning Partnership, I have been given a number of opportunities to grow professionally and work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust. Trust-wide training days and writing moderation sessions with other UKS2 teachers have been invaluable in developing my practice. I am currently completing my NPQSL and have received fantastic support from both Disley Primary School and the Trust throughout the process, enabling me to further develop my skills and experience as a leader.

True Learning Partnership is a great place to work! The connection between the staff at Lostock Hall is something we are very proud of, and working with the children is fun, inspiring and exciting. Being part of a wider Trust, alongside motivated colleagues who share such a positive outlook, is really important to me.

One of the things I particularly enjoy is running our Bike Bus, encouraging children to ride to school together with their friends, with our Boom Box tunes playing as we make our way around the estate! It is such a joyous experience for our children and a great example of the freedom we are given to bring our ideas to life. We have always been encouraged by the Trust’s leadership to ‘go for it!’

It is a pleasure to be part of True Learning Partnership.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working within True Learning Partnership and am proud to be part of an organisation that genuinely invests in and supports its staff. During my time with the Trust, I have been given significant opportunities for professional development, including recognised health and safety qualifications and the opportunity to undertake a degree apprenticeship. This has enabled me to continue developing both personally and professionally.

What I value most is the supportive culture and the commitment to helping colleagues grow and succeed. I am proud to support our schools and their wider communities, helping to create safe, well-maintained environments where children, young people and staff can thrive. I am fortunate to work alongside a team of proactive, motivated and dedicated individuals who share a common passion for making a positive difference every day.

Working for the Trust has given me opportunities to develop new skills, take on fresh challenges and contribute to meaningful projects, and I look forward to continuing to play my part in its future.

Working at True Learning Partnership has helped me develop both as a classroom teacher and as a leader. I enjoy being part of a Trust that values collaboration, innovation and professional growth. I am particularly proud of the work we have undertaken around AI in education, which became the first Trust-wide CPD programme to be delivered. It has been rewarding to contribute to an initiative that has encouraged colleagues across the Trust to share ideas, embrace innovation and ultimately improve outcomes for our students.

I am currently completing the NPQ SENCO alongside colleagues from across the Trust. This has provided a valuable opportunity to collaborate with professionals from a range of school contexts, helping me to broaden my perspective and strengthen my own practice. I have also valued the opportunities to contribute to Trust-wide professional development and to learn from the expertise of colleagues across our schools.

It is exciting to be part of an organisation that is committed to sharing expertise, supporting one another and continually striving for excellence.

My journey with True Learning Partnership began in April 2023, when I joined Hague Bar Primary School as a Clerical Officer, supporting the school with general administration. I could never have imagined where that opportunity would lead. Within a few months, I was promoted to Senior Administrator and, as my confidence and experience grew, I took on greater responsibilities and increased my hours. I was then delighted to become the school’s full-time School Business Manager, an exciting milestone that has made me incredibly proud of my journey so far.

I thoroughly enjoy working within True Learning Partnership and have felt supported and encouraged every step of the way. The Trust actively encourages colleagues to succeed, develop their skills and further their knowledge, and I have experienced that commitment first-hand. I have also been supported to undertake a School Business Professional apprenticeship, giving me a fantastic opportunity to deepen my knowledge and continue progressing in my career.

The Trust’s vision of ‘Inspiring the Best in Everyone’ truly reflects my experience, and I am excited to see where the next chapter of my career takes me.

Working at Poynton High School as part of True Learning Partnership has been incredibly rewarding. I have always felt encouraged to share ideas, take on new challenges and continue developing professionally. The culture across the Trust is one where colleagues are supported to grow, and this has enabled me to progress into leadership while continuing to develop my passion for teaching and pastoral care.

The Trust has invested significantly in my professional development through opportunities including the SSAT Leadership Legacy programme, Women in Leadership and NPQ Leading Behaviour and Culture. I am currently completing my NPQ SENCO and will continue to develop my leadership through further professional qualifications. These opportunities have helped me grow in confidence, broaden my knowledge and become a stronger leader.

What matters most is being able to use that development to make a difference to young people. In my role as Director of Learning for Years 8 and 9 and as a PE teacher, I have the opportunity to support students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them develop confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I have been given to develop my career and take on new responsibilities. Being part of a Trust that invests in its people and encourages them to keep learning and progressing has been a hugely important part of my journey.

We are delighted to have joined True Learning Partnership and, even in these early days, we are already experiencing the significant benefits of being part of such a collaborative partnership. From the outset, the support from the Trust’s central team has been outstanding. Having access to expert support across HR, professional development, SEND, finance, legal, estates and IT has made a real difference to how efficiently we can operate. As a senior leadership team, it is invaluable knowing there is always someone knowledgeable at the end of the phone, and we have been particularly impressed by how colleagues from across the Trust have come into school to work alongside us directly.

The Trust’s commitment to professional development has been particularly impressive. Despite only recently joining, five of our colleagues have already been funded to undertake NPQSL and NPQ SENCO programmes. Our staff have also benefited from Trust-wide professional development, collaborative work on writing and opportunities to visit other schools to observe and learn from effective practice.

Our staff have thoroughly enjoyed visiting other Trust schools and are already developing networks with colleagues in similar roles. There is a real sense of excitement about the collaborative opportunities ahead, and we are looking forward to deepening these professional relationships while also sharing our own expertise with others.

At Simmondley Primary School, we are incredibly proud of our distinctive culture, our passionate staff team, our strong links with the wider community and our unwavering commitment to the whole child. This is reflected in our three-layered curriculum, OPAL play, Forest School provision and work with STEM visitors. Joining the Trust has not meant losing what makes our school special. Through its approach of Aligned Autonomy, we have found a partnership that values and protects our unique identity while giving us the support, expertise and opportunities to continue growing and improving.

I am now in my fourth year with True Learning Partnership and have really valued the opportunities it has provided to develop both personally and professionally. Being part of the Trust has enabled me to collaborate with colleagues across different schools, share effective practice and learn from the expertise of others.

I have particularly enjoyed contributing to improvement beyond my own school and becoming involved in work across the wider Trust. This has broadened my experience, developed my perspective and given me the opportunity to make a difference beyond my own setting.

I really value the strong sense of collaboration, professional support and shared ambition across True Learning Partnership, and I look forward to continuing to develop while contributing to the Trust’s wider work.
